We modernize the systems
your business runs on.

Stride Techworks helps operational businesses replace messy, manual, unreliable operations with systems that work — from AI automation and custom internal tools to VoIP phone systems and day-to-day IT support.

FIG. 01the problem we fix

The operation works — because three people make it work.

Orders tracked in spreadsheets. Status that lives in someone's head. A phone system from two owners ago. IT handled by whoever's least busy. It holds — until a key person leaves, the volume doubles, or something breaks on a Friday afternoon. We turn that into systems that run reliably without heroics.

  • ·manual work that should be automated
  • ·tools that don't talk to each other
  • ·phones & IT that nobody owns

One company. Four ways to hire us.

not sure where to start?

Most engagements begin here. A fixed-scope audit that maps how your business actually runs and hands back a prioritized, costed plan — execute it with us or with anyone else.

SPEC. 05 — AUDIT + ROADMAPfixed scope · 1–2 weeks

Audit + Roadmap

If you know the operation is messy but don't know what to fix first, start here. We map how the business actually runs — workflows, tools, phones, IT, data, and the handoffs nobody has written down — and hand back a written assessment with a prioritized roadmap: what to keep, what to kill, what to automate, and roughly what each fix should cost.

· For

Businesses that know their tech stack or operations are messy but don't know where to start — or that want an honest second opinion before signing up for new software.

· Examples
  • Workflow and systems audit with the people who do the work
  • IT and communications audit — accounts, devices, phones, vendors
  • Automation opportunity map
  • Cost and risk analysis of the current setup
  • Prioritized implementation roadmap with effort estimates
· You get

Discovery sessions with the people who actually do the work · a system map with diagrams and written documentation · a keep/kill/automate matrix · a prioritized roadmap with effort and cost estimates · 30-day follow-up window.

· Outcome

A clear, costed plan you can execute with us or with anyone else — instead of guessing which fire to fight first.

what we actually build

Not decks. Working systems.

Dispatch dashboards, work-order portals, business phone systems, workflow automation, IT baselines, and operations dashboards — built to survive real use, not a demo.

how we build

Production first.

Most software demos well. Very little software survives contact with reality. That second thing is the whole job — whether it's an AI agent, a dashboard, or a phone system.

We run our own operation on the systems we sell.

The documentation system, automation pipelines, and internal tooling behind Stride are the same kind we build for clients — including this site. When we install something in your business, we've already lived with it in ours.

why this is different

Founder-led, operations-bred.

We've run the warehouse systems, answered the 2am outage call, and owned the uptime for businesses that can't go dark. That background shapes everything here: we'd rather give you a boring system that works than an impressive one that needs us forever. Every engagement ends with documentation your team owns.

studio · founders

Built by Stephen Talley and PJ DiDonato — two Philly engineers who'd rather ship the thing than pitch it.

Stephen ran the operations systems behind roughly $17M of inventory moving every week across Pennsylvania. PJ built and ran a Philadelphia MSP — phones, networks, and uptime for restaurants, law offices, and distribution centers. We've both carried the pager.

common questions
What does Stride Techworks actually do?

We help operational businesses modernize the systems they run on: practical AI and workflow automation, custom internal tools and dashboards, VoIP business phone systems, day-to-day IT support, and audits that turn a messy operation into a prioritized plan. One company, five ways to hire us.

Who do you typically work with?

Small and operational businesses — logistics and distribution, field service, property maintenance, restaurants, professional offices, and operations-heavy teams generally. The common thread is a real operation running on manual work, scattered tools, aging phones, or IT nobody owns.

Do we need AI for any of this?

No. Plenty of our engagements are plain software, a phone system done right, or IT cleanup. We use AI where it genuinely removes manual work — document processing, triage, drafting, reporting — and skip it where a simple script or a better process does the job.

Can you just fix our phones or handle our IT, without a big project?

Yes. VoIP setup and general IT services are standalone offers, not add-ons. A phone migration typically takes one to three weeks; IT work is scoped as a project or as ongoing support, whichever fits.

What if we don't know what we need?

Start with the Audit + Roadmap. In one to two weeks we map how your business actually runs — workflows, tools, phones, IT — and hand back a written assessment with a prioritized, costed plan. You can execute it with us or with anyone else.

What does an engagement cost?

The Audit + Roadmap is a fixed-scope engagement. Build and setup work is scoped per project: you get a written statement of work with a price and a ship date before anything starts. No open-ended hourly meters, no surprise invoices.

Why should we trust you with this?

The founders have done this work for real operations. Stephen Talley built and ran the operations systems behind roughly $17M of inventory moving every week across Pennsylvania. PJ DiDonato founded and ran a Philadelphia managed service provider, responsible for phones, networks, and uptime for restaurants, law offices, and distribution centers. We don't publish fake logos or invented case studies — we'd rather show you the actual work.

What about sensitive data and AI privacy?

Where data can't leave the building — clinical, legal, financial — we deploy private AI on hardware you own: local language models, document retrieval, and transcription with no third-party cloud and no per-token billing.

Where do you work?

Remote-first, with on-site work across the Northeast US — we're based in Philadelphia and regularly cover PA, NJ, DE, NY, and MD. Phone systems, cloud, and software work happens anywhere.

Tell us what's broken.

Software, phones, IT, or “honestly, we're not sure” — a 30-minute call, no obligation, first reply within one business day. We'll tell you honestly whether we're a fit and what the work would look like.
